The first emergence of San Jose Scale crawlers were observed this afternoon on Red Delicious and Ginger Gold in Highland, NY June 16th, 2018. Trees were heavily infested with less then 10 nymphs found on three taped limbs.
If prior applications to infested trees have not yet been made this season management should begin at your earliest application window. Management options. Red halo will begin to appear on fruit of infested trees within the next 10 days to 2-weeks.
